Housekeeping

Housekeeping is the general term for the ongoing upkeep of a home: laundry, tidying, restocking, cleaning, usually done regularly for someone living in the property day to day.

Why it is not quite the same as a turnover

Housekeeping assumes a resident who is there between visits and whose belongings stay in place. A turnover assumes the opposite: nobody living there, a full reset needed before a stranger arrives, done inside a specific checkout to check-in window rather than on a recurring weekly schedule.

Where the two overlap

Many of the actual tasks look identical from the outside, cleaning surfaces, changing linen, taking out rubbish, which is why the terms get used loosely. The difference is really about who the work is for and how it is scheduled, not what gets done in the flat itself. See turnaround for how that scheduling difference plays out in practice.

Conclusion

Housekeeping and a turnover share most of their tasks but serve different situations. AutomateBnB is built specifically around the short-let version of this work, not ongoing residential housekeeping.
